Amish Cranberry Chicken

Ingredients
6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 14 oz / 400 g can whole cranberry sauce
½ cup French dressing
1 packet about 1 oz dry onion soup mix
1 tbsp brown sugar optional, for extra sweetness
½ tsp black pepper
Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
3.Prepare the Sauce
4.In a medium bowl, combine:
Cranberry sauce
French dressing
Onion soup mix
Brown sugar (if using)
Black pepper
5. Stir until fully blended.
6.Assemble
7.Place chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking dish.
8.Pour the cranberry mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.
9.Bake
10.Cover loosely with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
11.Remove foil and continue baking 10–20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the sauce is bubbling.
12.Rest & Serve
13.Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
14.Spoon extra sauce over the top and garnish with parsley if desired.
