Who are we praying to?
We are praying to Quan Yin with this prayer.
Quan Yin, also known as Guanyin, is a revered figure in Chinese Buddhism and Chinese folk religion, often depicted as the Bodhisattva of Compassion. Her name translates to "One Who Sees and Hears the Cry from the Human World," reflecting her role as a divine listener and helper. Originally male in Indian Buddhism, Quan Yin has been more commonly depicted as female in China and East Asia since the 12th century. She is worshipped for her compassion and is associated with various rituals, including those for the deceased, where she is believed to help souls find peace.
She is the Bodhisattva of Compassion, a being who has attained enlightenment but chooses to remain in the earthly realm to help all suffering beings. To many, She is compassion itself.
Who are we Praying for?
This prayer to Quan Yin, is for all of us. For those who have unspoken needs, for those seeking solace, for those in need of Divine intervention in situations in their lives, for those in need of healing...
Also we ask for the site to have a great deal of experience, strength and knowledge being shared. We know this will foster a much greater understanding of one another within our communities. Only through unity can we build a substainable future.
The Prayer
"OM MANI PADME HUM Jewel of the lotus, You who perceives the sound of the world, please hear the sound of our unspoken needs.
Quan Yin, please bring peace, healing, and guidance to those in need of them. Please place your grace in our gathering places that we might form bonds of friendship.
And thank you for your compassion. Thank you so much for adding your energy to our collective.
💮 May compassion find you whenever you need it most.💮
